In this episode, I had the chance to sit down with Esque Sanders Jr., retired Lockheed Martin employee, and Lee Boyd II, Lockheed Martin employee and son of Lee A. Boyd II (deceased), to speak about the "Dynamic 1975 Toolmakers" of the F-16 fighter aircraft program. The Toolmakers of 1975 became the first ten young men of African American and Hispanic descent to be hired into the General Dynamics F-16 tooling group as trainees and the beneficiaries of a government program called Affirmative Action.
