About Winging it and WInning :
“Winging It and Winning" is a mindset and an expression I live by. It has helped me achieve many goals that I may not have accomplished if I did not take the plunge or fall into self-doubt. According to statistics, I should have ended up being a high school dropout, in an abusive relationship, and suffer from substance abuse. Thankfully I did not experience those things, and I attribute my life success to my mindset.
At a young age, I believed that I was in control of my destiny, living every day to create a life that I always dreamed of. Despite the fact that I was not always academically inclined, I applied to college to pursue my dreams of becoming a licensed clinical social worker. I learned early on with hard work, sacrifice, and consistency, anything is possible.
Mistakes are inevitable in life; however, I do not accept them as setbacks instead of learning and growing opportunities. Life has its challenges, but here I am, winging it and winning. This year has taught me that life is short, and I have a moral obligation to share my experiences with those willing to listen. Thankfully I beat the odds; I want to encourage other people that they can too!
