Description

“Winging It and Winning" is a mindset and  an expression I live by. It has helped me achieve many goals that I may not have accomplished if I did not take the plunge or fall into self-doubt. According to statistics, I should have ended up being a high school dropout, in an abusive relationship, and suffer from substance abuse. Thankfully I did not experience those things, and I attribute my life success to my mindset.

At a young age, I believed that I was in control of my destiny, living every day to create a life that I always dreamed of. Despite the fact that I was not always academically inclined, I applied to college to pursue my dreams of becoming a licensed clinical social worker. I learned early on with hard work, sacrifice, and consistency; anything is possible.

Mistakes are inevitable in life; however, I do not accept them as setbacks instead of learning and growing opportunities. Life has its challenges, but here I am, winging it and winning. This year has taught me that life is short, and I have a moral obligation to share my experiences with those willing to listen. Thankfully I beat the odds; I want to encourage other people that they can too!

In this episode we speak to Mellissa Lindsay the founder of The Mama Mentor and co-creator of Miracle mom. She has worked with several teachers, including New York Times Best Selling Author Gabby Bernstein. We discuss insecurities, anxiety, depression,  and the significance of taking steps towards a better life.
