This is the first episode in a new series where Hakim answers questions that he gets asked all the time, here on the podcast.
If you have ever wondered what that lash cholo is like behind the scenes when he's not dancing on tiktok, get a peak inside the male perspective with regards to all things small business owners struggle with in this series.
For the intro to this series, we focus on Hakims natural inclination to remain optimistic even as the industry ebs and flows. With spring break vacays long gone and mothers day came and went, the rush for lashes and brows has really slowed up, plus combine that with the uproar in allergies from the season changing and colds going around... we have had a LOT of artists vent to us about how dead business has been for service providers. This can be super defeating both when you are first starting out and even when you have been an artist for a while and suddenly have a decrease in sales.
Believe it or not, that frustrated wanting to give up feeling all alone is NOT just you! We ALL go through that and its 100% a part of the small business game. Hakim has 12 years of experience in the service based industry and shares how HE has always remained a ray of sunshine not only in our retail based business, but as a new self employed individual and what you can do as a struggling artist today to combat those negative mindsets and bounce back better than ever.
