Dr Julia Pascale talks about her journey as both an academic and theatre director as well as her work on Dancing, Talking, Taboo! at this year's Bloomsbury Festival as part of a collaboration between Pascal Theatre Company and The Place Dance Theatre.
This site-specific performance is their first since lockdown, bringing the influences of 20th century cabaret, Mary Wigman, Valeska Gert, Hilde Holger, Bertolt Brecht, Rudolf Laban, to the expression of previously unheard voices through voice and body. The dancers are supported by performer Amanda Maud a musician, actor and dancer.
