I am certain you have heard the two most "Americans don't want to work anymore" and "The Government is paying people to stay home."
While both sentences seem accurate on the surface, those sentences do not represent what is really going on with the Americans.
The belief is that taking away the enhanced unemployment benefits would somehow force people back into the jobs they are trying to escape from.
However, taking away the unemployment benefit didn't drive people back into the workforce. Instead, something unexpected happened.
Now, what???
The pursuit of happiness doesn't mean there is a reality where work is nonexistent, but it does mean that a person gets to choose
how to best spend that time and energy for the rest of their lives. Working to live, not living to work
