Life is possible because of faith.
Without faith, life would be very miserable and even impossible.
Faith is life and life is faith.
In our day-to-day life, we just believe the drivers of public transportation, cooks in the hotels, etc.
Just imagine, what would happen to you, if you have to check the above persons?
You don't do it, do you?
But, we do often doubt about our dear and near ones, most importantly God Himself.
What are the doubts you have about God and what He has revealed?
Can you believe God and His revelation without any proof or evidence?
If not, you cannot have faith!
Yes, it's a harsh statement, but true.
St. Thomas Aquinas (1224-1274), the Angelic saint says,
विश्वास करने वालों के लिए कोई भी सबूत की जरूरत नहीं होती; विश्वास नहीं करने वालों के लिए, कोई भी सबूत पर्याप्त नहीं होगा।
"For those with faith, no evidence is necessary; for those without it, no evidence will suffice."
We should never have the attitude, saying, "I'll believe if only I get proofs".
It's a very dangerous stand.
Faith can lead to understanding and never vice versa.
Once you have proof or evidence for something, there is no need for faith any longer.
That is why St. Paul says,
हम आँखों-देखी बातों पर नहीं,
बल्कि विश्वास पर चलते हैं।
"We walk by faith, not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Let's not look for proof or evidence to believe; rather let's believe so that we may understand.
