Life is full of choices!
We are faced with a lot of options to choose from.
This choice is between life and death!
God has created us in His own image and likeness.
Freedom is one of the qualities of God and He has gifted us with it as well.
Most often, humans have been misusing it to their own destruction.
According to the Bible, one of the most basic and fundamental choices one has to make is between life and death.
Do you choose life or death, this world or the world to come?
St. Clement of Rome (30-100), one of the 5 Apostolic Fathers, said,
यह दुनिया और आने वाली दुनिया दोनों दुश्मन हैं।
इसलिए हम दोनों के दोस्त नहीं हो सकते;
लेकिन हमें निर्णय लेना है कि किसको त्यागेंगे
और किसका आनंद उठायेंगे।
"This world and the world to come are two enemies.
We cannot therefore be friends to both;
but we must decide which we will forsake and which we will enjoy."
This is a very strong statement, but very true.
This choice is very definite.
You cannot choose both, either or.
St. James too said the same,
"Adulterers! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?
Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God." (James 4:4)
Now the choice is yours!
You HAVE to choose between these.
You cannot remain indecisive. Even indecision is a decision.
God desires that we choose life!
Come. Let's choose life!
