1. Before Prayer

- As you walk to the place of prayer, ask God to help you to pray.

2. During prayer – while praying
i) Be aware of the presence of God (in and around you)
ii) Acknowledge His Presence Acknowledge Him for WHO and WHAT He is. Praise Him Thank Him for everything

iii) Ask for His forgiveness
We are sinful. Let’s acknowledge it. Humility is the foundation of prayer. Humility is the doorway to prayer.
iv) Ask Him to speak to You
Lord, speak. Your servant is listening. (1 Samuel 3:10)
v) Listen to what He speaks
Takes time – a process We have NOT come to change God, but ourselves.
We have NOT come to give information to God, but to get.
We have NOT come to advise God, but to get advised.
vi) Prayer of intercession
Pray for the world, for those who asked for your prayers, for the family, especially for enemies
vii) Time of Silence
- To enjoy His presence
viii) Prayer of thanksgiving
3. After Prayer
- Prayer has to be interconnected with life.
Prayer is not a separate entity.
- Being and becoming a prayer – praying always
- Doing what one asked for in prayer
