Topic: Remove Nicotine, Caffeine, Alcohol and Processed Foods

1.) If I am removing processed foods, what can I eat?

Continue to eat an ABUNDANCE of fresh fruit in the morning, vegetables, and lean high-quality meats and proteins.Continue to remove refined sugars to the best of your ability.

2.) Does natural sweeteners include Stevia, Agave, Truvia, Sweet N Low, etc?

Yes, please remove remaining sweeteners and syrups.

3.) Can we drink decaf coffee instead?

At this time we would like to eliminate all coffee for the time being. Decaf contains traces of caffeine and it has to go through a highly chemicalized process. In general, not a great idea. Please remove it this week.

5.) What is considered a processed food?

Generally speaking if it is in a package, vacuum sealed jar, or box – it could be processed. Use your best judgment and make the healthiest choices you can.

6.) Do we have to remove all alcohol?

Yes at this time we are asking that all alcohol be removed, (remember it is only for a season πŸ™‚ )

7.) Can I drink decaf teas?

Yes, you can drink naturally caffeine free teas – we recommend Rooibos (Redbush) or herb teas.

8.) I am experiencing tiredness, headaches or extremely low energy. Would you have any tips?

This week you might experience coffee withdrawal symptoms. These might include headaches, general fatigue or extremely low energy. This is absolutely normal as the body works through its addiction to caffeine. The best tips we have is:

    Stay with it. Don’t give into caffeine temptation. The symptoms will stop within 1-5 days.

    Drink plenty of water. Stay hydrated.

    Take a nap. Rest if you can.

    Go for a brisk 20 min walk. Have some fresh air.
