All throughout Scripture, Jesus is likened to different things, like a lamb, shepherd, bread, and more. But in Luke 5, Jesus is a physician. In this passage, Jesus shows that he came for people that understand they have real needs in their lives, not people that think they have it all together. Without Jesus, you cannot live your life to the fullest; you need Jesus. In Luke 5, Jesus reveals his interests, his instructions, and his intentions.
