We live in a world where it's normal for us to define ourselves according to the titles that we're given, the roles we assume in society, the gifts and talents that we have and even the pain and traumas that we have endured. We base our identity in things that are naturally subject to change because they were not designed to to stand the test of time.
In Matthew 24:35, Jesus says that Heaven and Earth will all pass away, but His word will never pass away.
His word is the only constant. The only thing that will stand even when Heaven and Earth pass away - it is the only thing that will ever stand the test of time.
God so loves and treasures us that He lets us know exactly who we are throughout His word, which is fitting because the Creator is the only one who truly knows His creation.
Today I implore you to allow what it is God has to say about who you are, and let that be the solid foundation on which you base your life on.
