Sometimes it feels like we’re caught between creating the art that people want to experience and the art that we want to make. My guest Sarah Saturday has tackled that divide from both sides of the music industry. She is a songwriter, visual artist, and brilliant creator of Gardening, Not Architecture, a musical project that you should be not only listening to but watching. Sarah and I talk about some fun and deep topics including figuring out how to be authentic in a world that wants you to create for money. It’s not always easy to find that balance. We get into finding your best friends through the art you consume, being fully present when experiencing art, and how sometimes knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing when to start. I had such a great time talking to Sarah about all of her projects and laughing about our shared experiences. Enjoy!
