Pilate’s Response to Jesus

1. Pilate marvels at Jesus.
This is a proper response to Jesus.
2. Pilate begins to manipulate the situation.
This is the human reaction most of the time.
3. Pilate mishandles the situation.
Pilate knowingly commits an innocent man to death.
If Pilate had refused to deliver Jesus to be crucified, God’s plan would still have been carried out, but Pilate would have saved himself.
The crowd was more important to Pilate than Jesus.
It is better to speak up and stand alone for Jesus than to follow the crowd.
