The Barren Fruit Tree
Mark 11:12-14
Jesus is justified in being upset about the fig tree not being in season because it was not the original design of God, and it was a manifestation of what sin did to the world.
God is never happy with seasons of disobedience.
It is very easy for us to get accustomed to our sin and downplay it.
God’s purpose is for us is to bear fruit for Him.
The fruit - A life of obedience to God.
Two elements of bearing fruit:
1. The Word of God
2. The Holy Spirit
