Growing up in the Boogie-Down Bronx, he survived the crack era. Moved to Puerta Rico, a whole different life to adjust to.  From enduring brutal abuse on a naval ship due to discrimination; he continued to live a maverick life.  When he finally broke down in front of his son, he had to now accept responsibility.
