Demasking In Canada
We all can fall victim to the crabs in a bucket syndrome or the battered wife syndrome even when we have the opportunity to help someone get out of a problem we tend to as a society pull them down almost as a default. The issue is most of the time we don't recognize it but the individuals do.
Instead we choose a variation of tall poppy syndrome clipping the stem or wings of anyone who would dear and try to stand out or flyout of a given situation and proper.
Even when we are given the opportunity for freedom or to in this case breath fresh air many of us will choose to stay masked. But why?
How to get over it

Take time to cry if you have to but don’t let your emotions dictate your actions
Be nice better yet be wonderful to those who have taken advantage or left you
Don't be a  turn into a whipping boy or girl
Consider that you may have actually done more wrong than them even when considering being a pushover.
Work at being the best version of yourself
Look to the bible for direction, guidances and wisdom

Eat better
Give more of your time to those you may have neglected
Focus on your God given gift that you may have packed away in whatever capacity that you can
Find time to get healthy
Join a club or find a new hobby, that lets your talents and character shine through

Don't look to replace what you just lost unless that was your motive in the first place and you were the one to end it.
