"The filming and photographing of women can be somewhat of a violent act, I wanted to explore this with my film."
Jewell Sparks and Julie Feige discuss the objectification of women, her work as a photography and the violent acts that can result as a result of the process of photography. Julia explores her mixed heritage and her film EVA which is a feminist short film. EVA examines codes and dependencies in the fashion world and shows the gradual process of objectification. Eva serves hereby as a projection based on real experiences of different female individuals. Her name alludes to the creation of the first woman while its meaning originates from the Hebrew version "Chavah"/"Havah" which means "to breathe".
