How can women shape and mold the future of cinema? 

Brydie O’Connor is a Kansas-bred, New York based filmmaker. Brydie’s directorial debut, “Going Steady” is a narrative short film is currently on the festival circuit and is part of the short film selection for Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin opening night. The film is about a young woman's wild imagination about the relationship she truly desires in 1950s Kansas. Brydie and Jewell talk about both growing up in Kansas and Jewell’s interpretation of the film based upon her experience versus what the filmmaker said the film was actually about.
