Claim Your Brain: When Crisis Becomes a Calling
A soulful conversation with Jocelyn Pepe for Women’s Pulse
A few weeks ago, I had the honour of sitting down with author, mental health researcher, and wellness strategist Jocelyn Pepe on Let’s Talk. Today, I’m thrilled to share the video of that conversation because this one deserves to be seen and heard.
Jocelyn’s story is one of grace under fire, of using adversity as raw material for transformation. Years ago, we sat at a conference together, talking about dreams, fear, and the desire to create meaningful change. She told me then:
“I want to write a book that helps people understand they can heal and to remind them that they are not beyond repair. That their mind is powerful.”
And now, she’s done precisely that.
Her book, Claim Your Brain, is not just a workbook; it’s a reset for real people living real lives. It’s for those of us who are quietly holding everything together while silently falling apart.
In our conversation, Jocelyn shares the pivotal moment that changed everything: a traumatic brain injury that shattered the illusion of “doing it all” and forced her into radical self-awareness, emotional honesty, and deep nervous system healing.
We talked about:
What struck me most was how Jocelyn turned her pain into purpose. And not just a purpose but a movement. There’s a program coming out of the book, not just for adults, but for children, too.
And to be a small part of that journey? It’s one of the great privileges of my work.
