Today we are joined by Kisuk Kim. Kisuk is a spiritual director, an extrovert, a health tech professional, and a dog owner. After Anne and Muoki recover from their dog-envy, we chat with Kisuk about competing values of self-actualization and success. Kisuk shares about the expectations he experienced growing up in an immigrant family, and the challenges of blending those expectations with the idealism of his college years. We discuss the notion of calling, the emotional pressure of meeting the world’s needs, how social media amplifies that pressure, and the struggle of finding the intersection of our influence and our passions.
