Today I'm sharing a story--and the wisdom gained--from a hiking adventure to the highest point of New Mexico, Wheeler Peak.
My plan to attempt two 14,000’ peaks in southern Colorado, Blanca & Ellingwood, was aborted due to high winds and snow at higher elevations. The backup plan was to hike Wheeler Peak: the highest point in New Mexico had been on my to-do list for nearly a decade.
