Let's welcome the Nepali New Year 2079 BS from far-west Nepal!!
Bajura is a part of Sudurpashchim Province and one of the least developed districts in the country. There are many ill practices like Chhaupadi-the practice of isolating women from their houses during menstruation and confining them to mud huts or cow sheds as they are considered "impure." This leads to taboos and stigma discrimination against menstruating people.
But there are also some bold and determined youths who are challenging those taboos. In this episode, we talk to Sabita Thapa from Bajura, who has been raising her voice and fighting against the social evils in her own family and society.
