Tired of being tired?! Can't wait any longer????
Question - How many times do we tend to look at the timeline of projects or things we are believing for?
Question - How many times do we get impatient with God because He is taking too long? You want things to happen now and change in or favor right?
I mean we live in a day and age where we expect and desire instant gratification to grow. Less work -> greater reward. That's not how it works!!!
Those who diligently seek Him first, gets the reward. Seeking Him requires time with Him. Praying with Him. Dwelling with Him. Abiding in Him and spending time with Him.
Yes money is great. Leading and leading and being popular may be good too, but I wanna be where God resides. He keeps me in perfect peace while I am patiently waiting and doing my part until change comes.
Amos 9:13 - 15 (MSG) - Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel
Yes, this is God's decree for you to keep believing and stand strong. Run race that God has set for you. Not another person's race. It's your race you have to finish and your race you have to run in.
I hope you enjoy this episode on patience!
Scriptures in Prayer:
He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.' Isaiah 40:27-31
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him. [Hab. 2:3, 4.] Hebrews 10:35-36,38
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”Matthew 11:28-30
