This week on ZNZ we are talking about the idea of Blockbuster vs. Netflix. Although there is a clear winner now, growing up during the time of Blockbuster, we had a lot of family traditions and rituals revolving around Blockbuster and that experience. But nostalgia aside, now that Netflix and other streaming platforms have moved in and honed their approach, many of the functional arguments have gone by the wayside. Although it's now "Netflix and Chill" instead of "Make it a Blockbuster Night," we can lament what once was, or embrace what now is. And just imagine what will take the place of Netflix in the future! Stay tuned towards the end, when Robin and I get into a spirited debate about the right to have your own opinions, even if someone else thinks it's an opinion not worth having. Fun times!
