The narcissist has new sources of supply before he or she discards of you. The new source supply often gives narcissists the excuse to discard and dismiss current source without remorse or any sense of responsibility. The narcissist might pull the rug out from under you, but make no mistake that the shock and awe effect boost their confidence to make excuses for venturing out and getting new source supply. There are signs that he or she might be trying to ghost, but somehow the shock of them pulling it off never fails, but then they might be in awe of how they were able to pull it off, while leaving you to pick up the pieces.
