Many have died in service to their country. They had a mission to perform and did so.
But, with our Covenant Vows, are we not striving to enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven)? Is this not our country? Are we willing to sacrifice for our beliefs? Do we act on our stated mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ?
We should remember this as we honor those who have fallen for the United States that there are also those who have fallen in the name of Jesus Christ. As Christians, do we not owe an obligation to them to make this a better world? I certainly hope so! Taken from the 2021-05-30 Worship Service.
