We are told that we should have certain attributes: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Love is what binds all these attributes together. The Lord loves us and the love of Jesus Christ holds it all together. It is a two-way street. Love your God with all your heart and these attributes flow naturally from you to all others. How can we do this better?
