This week we watched the magical comedy, "A SIMPLE WISH" starring one of the best child actors of the 90's, Mara Wilson and the clownish comedy star, Martin Short.
The story follows Anabel, a optimistic and spirited girl who wants her father to succeed in getting the big part in a Broadway Musical. Enter, Murray, a clumsy male Fairy Godmother, who offers to use his magic wand to SHABOOM Anabel's wish into reality. What starts as a simple wish quickly snowballs into a whirlwind adventure that pits Anabel, her obnoxious brother Charlie, and Murray to battle the dark and powerful witch, Claudia (played by Kathleen Turner) and her dog-turned-human companion, Boots. Lot's of silly, light-hearted humor and dated 90's CGI make this a easily digestible fantasy flick.
We hope you enjoy revisiting this classic.
Be sure to vote for what we should watch and review next week:
BICENTENNIAL MAN - Starring Robin Williams in a very heartfelt yet dramatic turn as a robot who joins a loving family and soon desires to find a path to becoming human himself and experience the joys of humanity while also grappling with some of life's tragedies. Also starring the girl from those Pepsi commercials.
TOMORROWLAND - Casey, a young science-enthusiast seeks the help of a disillusioned genius, Frank Walker played by George Clooney who is aware of a alternate world known as Tomorrowland, where great minds are able to flourish and bring about the betterment of mankind. Casey and Frank will venture to the unknown and unlock the mysteries of Tomorrowland in this Sci-Fi adventure.
