In the Battle of the Babies, you voted, we listened and this week we are watching and reviewing "BABY'S DAY OUT."
This 90's movie staring an adorable baby, played by twins who would never act in movies again, which, given the path many kid actors end up on may have been a very smart move. Regardless, we are treated to a off-the-wall comedy that pits a infant child against a trio of bumbling kidnappers Eddie (Joe Mantegna), Norby (Joe Pantoliano) and Veeko (Brian Haley.) who have to track down the little guy as he crawls his way through the streets of New York. Along the way they will encounter death-defying heights, Gorilla's and severe attacks on their respective nether regions. The set design is amazing, the gorilla costumes convincing and the comedic timing of these three stooges make this a hilarious and insane movie for the family. did we mention how adorable this kid is??? Hope you enjoy!

JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH - A stoop-motion musical which follows a lonely boy named James who, with the aide of some magic and a well-placed peach, is whisked away to world's he only ever dreamed of, with a family he never expected amongst some insects including a musical Grasshopper, a wise-cracking Centipede and a sultry Spider. Together they are headed for the big city and getting there will be the adventure of a lifetime!
FANTASTIC MR. FOX - A stop-motion movie, also based on a Roald Dahl novel, that is directed by prestige director Wes Andersen and, if you know the director, it has a lot of his famous symmetrical visual style along with a very quirky tone. Voices include George Clooney, Bill Murray and Meryl Streep. A sly Fox must battle with three farmers in order to secure a steady supply of chickens, but must learn to work well with others.
