We are getting into the Christmas spirit with this Dark yet hopeful Disney Animated...Midquel(?): "Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas."
When we last left Belle, the curse over the castle of a Beast, who turned out to be a prince, was lifted and she was able to live happily ever after with the reformed monarch along with all her new friends. Well, as a follow-up to that beloved Disney classic, they decided to set the story in the midst of Belle's IMPRISONMENT at the cursed castle, shortly following her encounter with a pack of wild wolves. Oh, and it's Christmas-time. As Belle tries to spread hope and joy during the festive season, The Beast is desperate to avoid all Christmas traditions as it only serves to remind him of the past, when the curse was first bestowed upon the castle and all its inhabitants. We are also treated to a new cast of characters including a imposing villainous Pipe Organ played by Tim Curry.
It may very well be one of the darkest Christmas movies ever conceived by Disney, but that doesn't mean we don't enjoy it. Hope you do as well!
