Based on the Disney Channel Original Series, we watched "THE LIZZIE McGUIRE MOVIE" starring Hilary Duff as the titular teenager with a knack for navigating awkward situations that one encounters in their adolescence. This time, Lizzie and her best friend David Gordon (Gordo) are off on a graduation trip to Rome. After promising that they would try to find adventure in Rome, Lizzie attracts the attention of a pop star who recently lost his singing partner, someone who looks an awful lot like Lizzie. With that, Lizzie is off to experience Rome like no other kid dreamed of, learning to embrace her own confidence and singing voice along the way. All the while, Gordo is running interference with the high school principle in charge of the trip, Ms. Ungermeyer, played by comedy master Alex Borstein. It's a movie that is very much a time capsule of that moment in 2003 when this movie came out. And "This is what dreams are made of" still bops. Hope you enjoy the movie and the review!
Be sure to vote for what we watch next week. These choices are a little less known so we have included links to short trailers of the movies.
SPACED INVADERS - A rag-tag group of martians land on Earth to assist in the planet-wide invasion of Earth...only to find out they may have arrived too early. Luckily it's Halloween, so even though the alien puppet's are poorly constructed, they won't turn any heads on this night. It's a comedy that's out of this world.

STAR KID - Spencer is often bullied in school but one day a alien inhabited cyber-suit lands on Earth and Spencer goes from a shy teenager to a butt-kicking super hero that is like a cross between Iron Man and Silver Surfer.
