My guest this week is beautiful Breathwork Healer Jillian Hannah. She didn't grow up with emotional safety and felt unseen. It wasn't until she met a teacher in a college class that she felt seen. This class introduced students to something new every week: Healing, Energy Work, Cranial Sacral, Acupuncture, Yoga, meditation.
She got real honest with herself about her substance abuse patterns. After college, she had an aha moment drinking out of a bottle at 1 a.m. and she surrendered to a higher power and said "I need help."
The next day she went to work and her boss asked if she was OK, another person dropped into her life at the perfect time. It helped her find hope. In our interview she said "you have to go to the dark places sometimes to open your eyes to new possibility."
She got sober and chose to hang out with better quality people. She went through yoga teacher training, had babies, started teaching. One quote I love is "In service we receive."
Another perfectly timed introduction came at a friend's wedding. She was seated next to a couple who was into the similar things. They have since created www.nourishmindfulevents.com together and put on healing retreats all over the country. Their first international retreat will be in Italy next year 2024.
