Bio of sticky:
Formed in 2019 by 5 close friends, sticky’s take on modern rock expands the vernacular of rock’n’roll music to a new generation, with the same energy and spirit of rebellions past, and a new sound set to pave the way for the future of the genre.
After meeting in school and playing for kicks as 5 acoustic guitar players, the group of friends started performing as a band live at local venues, both as headliners and with larger national acts, as well as some almost excessively kinetic house parties in and out of state.
sticky had its introduction to the music world in early 2020 with the debut single “lost for words,” and have an EP in the works slated for release late this year. The band is hoping to be bringing live music to new cities and venues in the rest of 2020, provided any of them are open.

Sticky , a five-piece modern rock group, releases follow-up single “speak to me” on July 10th
“Following our debut release, ‘lost for words,’ the release of a second single could not come soon enough. At last, ‘speak to me’ premieres July 10th. The track bursts with energy and grit as it navigates the story of a relationship riddled with miscommunication and complicated feelings rooted in love and good intentions. As with our last single, we were thrilled to record ‘speak to me’ with multi-platinum producer Jim Wirt(Incubus, Fiona Apple) and were fortunate enough to receive help from two other producers, Drew Sipos and BigChuckBeats. The final result was a product the band is ecstatic to share, and it goes live on all online music vendors Friday, July 10th.
Releasing our debut a few months ago was a huge step in our journey as a band. Having been kept off the stage for several months now, we have all grown restless and are itching to share our music again, so the release of ‘speak to me’ is even more exciting for us! Even if we can’t all scream and dance together yet, we hope that this track pumps people up as much as it does us and provides a release for listeners in such an unprecedented world.” ‘speak to me’ is a punky track, full of brazen lyricism bouncing back-and-forth between sticky’s dual vocalists, Nick Charles and Mac Craffey. Alongside the already energetic vocals, Conor Clark’s lead guitar floats through the rhythm of the song, and Matt Pukansky punches through with an undeniably punk bass line. Jared Jacknow rounds out the band’s sound with a drum part tight to the melody, pumping excitement and energy into a second single from the group that takes the listener through a lively experience of 21st century rock and roll.
