The ego rules our conscious mind. Among many things, it loves to latch onto labels that give meaning and validation to the individual. For example, we might identify as a wise, young, educated, a person of color, etc. However, the question is how beneficial are these labels for us? How much are we missing out on understanding other people's perspectives? Are we applying these labels to ourselves to feel superior over others and to validate ourselves?
In this episode, we discuss personal examples of how our egoic minds search for attachment to concepts that validates us. We might even feel like we are fighting a stereotype, and by doing so, we are just attaching with equal strength to a different label. Join us in this conversation about why putting people in boxes is a symptom of separation and an attempt to judge different perspectives, which are also valid (even if we can't understand them).
