Casey Woods is the founder and Executive Director of FORGE, the only national nonprofit specifically focused on working from within the gun owner community on transformative, non-political efforts to prevent gun suicide and gun homicide. The Overwatch Project equips veterans, service members, and those who serve them with new ways to save lives, through comprehensive training, outreach and engagement programs crafted in a blunt, authentic veteran voice. Casey is a George W. Bush Institute Veteran Leadership Scholar and an Ashoka Fellow. Prior to founding FORGE, she was an award-winning journalist with extensive experience covering crime, law enforcement, local government, and international affairs.
