Once upon a time there was a man who thought he could climb the fig tree--the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the tree of death--in order to see Jesus. But Jesus had a different plan. He wasn't concerned with what Zacchaeus could do. He simply wanted to dwell in Zacchaeus's house. When you're young, or immature, think you can do things on your own. You need milk. The milk of righteousness. So you can grow!
