Our present sufferings are not to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us at the revelation of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the last day. Our light afflictions and sufferings are tools used by God for the testing of our faith in order to help us grow, to be made perfect, and to work in us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Just as gold is tested in the fire to purify it, our faith which far more precious than gold that perishes, is tested in trials for its genuity or genuineness.
