Rosh Hashanah is known for being awesome and frightening—a balance that occurs regularly for those involved in end-of-life care. As we begin heading towards the end of Moses’ life, we find ourselves wondering about how Jewish values are included as death approaches. We were lucky enough to learn from hospice chaplain Rabbi Jamie Serber and chaplain Rabbi Natalie Shribman who helped us understand some of the most emotionally difficult and taxing parts of the work.
