“Those who fail to learn from the past are condemned to repeat it.” It is a quote that is used all of the time, but never has it been so true. 2020 rocked our world and forced us to change and learn fast, as our survival depended on it. History once again got clever and decided that we still have much to learn about pandemics and gave us another one. COVID-19. But with a new pandemic there is death, panic, turmoil and questions, questions that we don't have the answers too. Questions like What do we do now? When will this be over? What will this "new normal" look like? And what can we learn from this to grow and from so we don’t repeat it? But, I think that the real question that we should be asking ourselves is why haven’t we learned from this before?
Join Elizabeth Weyers and special guest Pharmacy student Rachel Dietz as they dive deep into the pandemics and plagues of the past to look for the lesson history so wants us to learn, and along the way we might just find our answer to getting out of this pandemic too.
