WIBA’s Co-President Freni Jivani and Events Director Maiesha Zahir sit with Fehma Munazza, a UTSC alumni who graduated with a Specialist in Accounting (Co-op). Fehma is currently a Finance Manager in Sales Finance at Mars and she has spent the past decade working in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry. Fehma shares how she was initially a shy girl, but her growth mindset and drive to develop her business acumen helped her advance in her career. One of her key takeaways was to accept that ‘no question is a stupid one” and now she leaves an impact by passing that advice to the interns working under her lead. Given her wide range of business experience, Fehma shares insights on what a day at work in different branches of the industry looks like and talks more about the key soft and technical skills recruiters are drawn towards.
