Our Co-President Freni Jivani and Events Director Maiesha Zahir sit with Amy Shen. Amy graduated from the University of Toronto Scarborough with a Bachelor's in Business Administration in Management. During undergrad, she was a Project Director at The Marketing Group and completed co-op work terms as a Staff Accountant at Campbell Lawless LLP and as a Financial Analyst at the Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat. Post-graduation, she started her career at First National Financial LP as a Junior Underwriting specialist and currently works there as a Commercial Financial Analyst. In this episode, Amy shares how she was able to discover her passion through her co-op work—terms that gave her the opportunity to experience different roles and connect with industry professionals. For students in their 3rd and 4th years, Amy emphasizes planning and starting your job-seeking process for post-graduation opportunities and roles well in advance.
