A big hello to Tuesday and an even bigger hello to our two-month pod anniversary! Today’s milestone episode will NOT disappoint because today, dear friends, today we take you through the legal framework of the sex work industry in Victoria, compare it to other States and Territories in Australia, talk the issues in its operation, future reforms AND have the lovely Chloe* on to chat with us. Chloe is a current sex worker who gives her perspective on the practicality of the current laws in place and what they look like in reality. She takes us through a day in the life as a sex worker and provides us with a really educational and insightful understanding of sex work from someone in the field.
We were hanging off Chloe’s every word and can’t wait to bring this really clarifying look into the sex work industry, free from the stigma that usually shrouds it. We were surprised by the heartwarming and authentic look Chloe gave us into her life and her work-family! A quick content warning however, this interview discusses issues of sexual assault and may be distressing to some listeners.
