Former NJ Gov. Chris Christie is among the first of the Republicans positioning themselves for the 2024 Presidential campaign. In an effort to not only remake his brand, he takes direct shots at President Trump and his most fervent supporters. He is the quintessential "establishment" Republican. Christie, Romney, McConnell, Cheney and their ilk, will never understand it is they, who chased Conservatives to Donald Trump. With Republicans like those, who needs Democrats to destroy the United States as it was founded.
