Ask yourself, "Do my plans align with God's Word?"
How do you find people that you're not "trying to impress", and with whom you are not afraid to be vulnerable. Ask those people questions. Ask for your blindspots. Be honest and let them know who you truly are.
When you try to do it all yourself, you are limited in your reach. Start giving more away so that other people can lead and grow.
