There is a trap that we get caught in by the enemy, but we need to be aware.
Forgiveness is a heart matter, not just lip-service. Reflect and see if you are holding bitterness or unforgiveness. See other people in a deeper way — when they are wanting to break you, what brokenness may they be going though.
REMEMBER the grace and forgiveness that God has given you.
Ask God for help! "Holy Spirit, help me!"
“pray continually,” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray for the person who you are forgiving.
- God help them find healing
- God help them to recognize their brokenness.
- God help them find you.
- God help them find peace.
Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"
Lack of forgiveness and bitterness doesn't imprison the other person. It affects YOU.
Why would you let someone/something that hurt you once continue to hurt you your entire life?
