When you raise your standard of living, are you increasing your standard of giving? “Work” can be a dirty word, just hoping wishing and praying for a change. Roll up your sleeves and do the work! Proverbs 14:23, “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” Mark Batterson shares in “Circle Maker” that he “prays like it depends on God and works like it depends on him.” Proverbs 12:24, “Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.” We live an a feel-good culture.
