In this podcast, our goal is to bring the weekend message to LIFE and share stories to help you along in your faith journey. This weekend we began  our brand new series, Psalm 23!

This weekend's message, "The Lord is My Shepherd", Week 1 of Psalm 23: https://youtu.be/GT41HxUcVqo

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing

So many of us follow one another off a cliff that leads to death and destruction. The people that you surround yourself with in life are extremely important. One decision MATTERS, whether it's a good one or a bad one.

What is the ONE THING we can grow in together?

Our desire to be impressive hinders us. What if our goal is to be the least impressive person in the room, so you have people ahead of you to influence your life. This applies spiritually as well.

The Art of Apprenticeship holds so much value. Submitting yourself to learn!

People will often only try things once, rather than committing. When we commit to do something, we see GROWTH!

Growth happens in struggle.

Struggle develops strength.

Don't just say you want to grow, but not be willing to commit to the struggle of growth.

"I can learn something from anyone!" -Shayla McCormick

We have a GOOD Shepherd leading and directing our lives. Otherwise, we're prone to wander. This can feel like restriction and discipline, when the Lord is guiding and directing us. However, that's where FREEDOM is found.

Seatbelts protect you, they're not restricting you.

Warnings on beer cans to not drink and drive are there to protect you.

Guardrails are on the cliff to protect you, not hinder you.

God puts protections in His word to protect us. If we follow His ways, we're able to be FREE!

The Ten Commandments are healthy boundaries for any good relationship. They're beneficial when we embrace them. Life is found in God's ways.

We often only see the moment in front of us. God sees the ENTIRE picture.

1 Peter 5:5-6

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

“God resists the proud,

But gives grace to the humble.”

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time

God calls us sheep...really?

Sheep have so many problems! They're so vulnerable and dependent on their shepherd. We've got to trust the Manual our Shepherd has given us, His Word.

Worry is dealing with tomorrow’s PROBLEM with today’s PASTURE.

You've survived 100% of your worst days. He's given us grace for today.

If God has taken care of me in the past and the present, trust Him with tomorrow!

"God has taken care of my yesterday, He's going to continue to take care of my today, and He will be faithful tomorrow!" -TJ McCormick

Go to our Good Shepherd, and surrender. He does what we cannot do.
