Nehemiah 6:1-4 It was told to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and to the rest of those who hated us that I had built the wall again. They were told that the wall had no more open places, but I had not yet set up the doors in the gates. So Sanballat and Geshem sent word to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together in one of the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they were planning to hurt or kill me. So I sent men with word to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” They sent word to me four times in this way, and I gave them the same answer.

Nehemiah 6:3 So I sent men with word to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?”
Over time, we are prone to start treating what was once a MIRACLE as something that is MUNDANE.
1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Most people stop WHAT they are doing because they forgot WHY they are doing it.
2. RECOGNIZE that you have LIMITS.
Nehemiah 6:3 So I sent men with word to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” Self-awareness is the ability to see yourself CLEARLY and OBJECTIVELY.
Philippians 3:13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, Attention is a LIMITED resource.
3. RESOLVE that you have to keep BUILDING.
Nehemiah 6:3-4 So I sent men with word to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” They sent word to me four times in this way, and I gave them the same answer.
Discipline is the ability to stay COMMITTED to stay committed to your assignment long after the FEELINGS of excitement have left.
Nehemiah 6:15 So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days. Supernatural goals are only achieved when we partner our GRIT with God’s GRACE.
