Philippians 3:12-15 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or
that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for
which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not
achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward
to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly
prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Let all who are spiritually
mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will
make it plain to you.
1. Have a forward FOCUS.
Philippians 3:12-13 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or
that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for

2. Have a forward PURSUIT.
Prayer and Fasting
3. Have a forward FAITH.
Exodus 14:15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the

Matthew 11:12 And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the

“One is too small a number to achieve greatness.”—John Maxwell
Philippians 3:15 Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you

5. Have a forward VISION.
Proverbs 29:18a Where there is no vision, the people perish:
Habakkuk 2:2-3 And then GOD answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write
it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a
witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait!
And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come
right on time.
